Delving into the objects of ritual allows me to explore perplexing concepts and produce pieces that both rouse suspicion and alienate the viewer. Secrets are kept with the creation of my artwork and secrets are created when others connect with it. Isolation paired with intrigue is my definition of art. I strike a balance between intricate detail and graphically bold depictions and incorporate other mediums and materials from embroidery to wax and metal. In producing evidence of ritual and reverence, my imagery shifts between figurative, decorative and still life representations, maintaining subtle complexity and remaining secretive.
